Welcome! Our lot is located four miles south of Fossil on Highway 19, mile marker 63 is about 100 yards from our driveway. We have a short hiking trail through the pine trees at the back of the property to enjoy. We have built a deer proof fence around our yard and lot so please keep gate closed after you enter and leave. Our lot is very butterfly and bird friendly so if you like to just sit and watch you will enjoy our lot! We have a place for a campfire when fire season is not in effect, which is usually late fall through around the end of May. Firewood is provided. There is plenty of space for a couple of extra rigs.

Fishing on the John Day River for Small Mouth Bass and Steelhead- In the link section below you will find two local guides for fishing trips.
Hunting for deer and elk, although a lot of the land in Wheeler county is privately owned there is some federal land that can be hunted on. There are many places where you can "fee hunt".
Hiking, there are some really fun trails at the two John Day Fossil Bed sites below.
Biking lots of county roads to ride on and two state highways all with interesting scenery.
KINZUA HILLS GOLF COURSE
A six hole USGA approved golf course is located about 12 miles southeast of Fossil, it is in a mountain setting, you definitely get your exercise walking around this course. Some days in the early spring you might have the whole course all to yourself and some local wildlife like wild turkeys, deer, elk, and grouse. Check out the golf calendar as there are some weekends when tournaments are being held.

Lot now has no hookups but hopefully we will have them installed before the year is up. No television reception or cell phone reception.
